“We turn Türkiye’s underground riches into value through hard work, knowledge and conviction.”
Pioneering the mining sector
Bringing Eskişehir’s magnesite to industry since 1994.

Our company was founded on 6 June 1994 by Gürsel Yıldız and Murat Yıldız as Yıldız İnşaat ve Madencilik Ltd. Şti. Today we work the magnesite mine at Ballık, within Satılmışoğlu in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir, under our own licence.
Since 2010 we have supplied our magnesite to markets in Türkiye and abroad. Our aim is to keep improving production and beneficiation by following technological developments, and to keep raising our quality and capacity.

The ore
What is magnesite?
Magnesite is a magnesium carbonate mineral. Fired into magnesium oxide (magnesia), it is the basis of the refractory materials that every high-temperature industry needs. 75% of the world’s sintered magnesia is produced from magnesite.
- Formula
- MgCO₃
- MgO content (pure)
- about 47.8%
- Crystal system
- Trigonal (rhombohedral)
- Hardness
- 3.5–4.5 Mohs
- Density
- ~3.0 g/cm³
- Colour
- White, light grey
Production
From pit to product
Run-of-mine ore is processed on two lines by grain size. At the end of both lines, the product is hand-sorted by colour.
- 01Open pit
Ore is taken from the benched open pit as run-of-mine.
- 02Crushing
Run-of-mine ore is reduced to workable sizes.
- 03Screening
Screens split the material into two lines: 2–10 cm and 0.5–2 cm.
- 04Washing
A washing drum removes clay and dust.
- 05Hand sorting
Our teams sort the ore by hand using colour.
- 06Magnetic separation
On the fine line, impurities such as serpentine are held back.

Environment and sustainability
Respect for the land, value for people

With the water spray system in our pit and covered processing plant we keep dust to a minimum, and we are regarded as an example in site management and occupational health.
- Dust control
Dust is suppressed at source with water sprays in the pit and plant.
- Covered plant
Ore processing is done under cover.
- Safety
Trained teams and protective equipment.
- Local jobs
Work for many people from the region every season.
